Interest in OpenOffice.org and other questions
I was contacted by a user NOT associated with Ohio Linux and asked if I would give a presentation on OpenOffice.org (OOo) macros. I had not considered an OOo presentation, especially in my area of expertise. I wrote a few chapters on macro programming for the OOo manuals.
Is an OOo presentation of interest?
Is an OOo presentation discussing macros of interest?
The upshot is that it would take a few hours to throw together a proposal (not counting the hours needed to prepare the presentation). If it is not of interest, I will not take the time. Also, this is kind of a test since I see few messages on the forums and my direct email was not answered.
I saw references to a boot-camp. What is the status of this? Will there be computers available?

I'm sure cool and useful
I'm sure cool and useful things with OpenOffice would be well received. Some of the most popular presentations are of that type. I would encourage you to fill out the speaker application before July 15th and then if you're talk is selected by the organizers, you would have some time to work on the presentation. We could post examples on this site after the conference for downloads, and perhaps make the examples available over the wifi at the conference.
