Keep the spirit alive of the Ohio LinuxFest: Installfest at University of Cincinnati

The University of Cincinnati will hold an Installfest on Wednesday October 14 at noon until 10pm. Check for the location and directions on the installfest website. The target group are undergraduate Computer Science/Computer Engineering students and there should be anywhere from 15-25 people a time, yet everyone regardless of University affiliation is welcome.
Those who wish to start using Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE, or FreeBSD can go to this installfest where experts will sit with you through the process.Hardware recommendation is recommended.
Installfests at the University of Cincinnati have been happening quarterly since 1996. At these events, hundreds of users have walked away with more than just a free operating system. They have been welcomed into a community.
This academic year, they dream to do more. If they had a few people who could donate an hour of their time to discuss their favorite open source applications, they could have a full day of talks as well. If you are available this Wednesday and within driving distance of Cincinnati, I highly encourage you to stop by and help out these nice people with an impromptu presentation.

There was another installfest in the city of Atlanta three years ago who chose to add presentations. Today this event is a real conference called the Atlanta LinuxFest.
The Ohio LinuxFest supports user groups who dare to dream big. After all, this is where the Ohio Linux came from... about a hundred folks from 6 Ohio Linux User Groups sitting in a large University classroom in 2003 yielded the successful annual open source gathering we are today.
Could the Installfest at the University of Cincinnati become the Cincinnati Ohio LinuxFest? Sure. Why not?
Sincerely,
Beth Lynn Eicher
