Ohio Linuxfest 2007 has come and gone. Five years in the making, I think we managed to hit all the really important hot buttons this year. In particular, I keep getting E-mail messages like the following about the kick-off party:

"I wanted to drop you a letter and let you know that the OLF kickoff party at Barley's was totally awesome! I got to meet a ton of cool people, the beer was fantastic and it was a great introduction to the conference. It is great to see that you guys have focused on the community and I felt totally comfortable. Keep up the great work, and WORD to the FIRKIN!"

R. Marshall, Raleigh, NC

Apparently, the Kick Off party this year was very popular, and we have several people to thank; PANTEK for their generous sponsorship, The Linux Link Tech Show for handing out the Bar Tickets and FARK for helping us crossover into a different community.

I would have to say that personally, the party at Barley's is going to go down as one of my all time greatest parties. I got to hang out with Don Parris from Blue Gnu, Drew Curtis from FARK, the guys from the Linux Link Tech Show as well as a ton of totally cool people whose names I can't recall. Suffice it to say, Barley's was the start of the party that did not end until Sunday.

In any case, Angela G. was kind enough to scan in copies of the final Bar Tab from Barley's so if anyone wants to know how much it costs to throw a party of that magnititude, please feel free to review the following.

I'd love to see some enterprising statistician review the information contained herein and draw some conclusions about the people that attend OLF! Any takers?
