Can I register for the Free Conference Pass at the day of the event?
Yes, if space is available, open registration will be available on a first come basis.
Can I purchase an Ohio LinuxFest 2007 tee-shirt at day of the event?
Sorry, tee-shirts will not be sold at the event. Tee-shirts will be available only to All Conference Pass.
Can I purchase an Ohio LinuxFest 2007 tee-shirt before the event without purchasing the all conference pass?
Sorry, tee-shirts are only available to All Conference Pass attendees.
Will wireless be available at the event?
Yes, but it will be limited to a local network for the conference IRC server. Access to the Internet at the Columbus Convention Center is outrageously expensive, and to work around the mandated service provider would put the organizers in breach of contract with the venue.
What does 'access to the conference suite' get me?
The Conference Suite will is a hospitality suite at the Drury Inn for speakers, sponsors, and All Conference Pass holders. It will be open for an after-party, after the conference reception at the Hyatt.
What kind of lunch are we talking about? What about special diet needs?
It entails choice of boxed lunch: turkey, ham, roast beef or veggie wrap There's no cheese on the veggie wrap.
How many drink tickets are provided for All Conference Pass attendees?
Two drink tickets will be provided.
What is the Backstage Pass?
It is a commemorative badge that shows how cool you are to help support the Ohio LinuxFest conference. The passes are not personalized.
Can I get a free pass and donate say $20 to the con?
Sure, all you will get in return is warm fuzzies and a thank you from us. We are currently not a 501c3 so we can't even imply any deduction eligibility. A donation jar will be available at the event. Checks can be written to Ohio LinuxFest Corporation.
When I go to register for the event, I get a Security Alert! What gives? Is this some sort of scam?
This problem occurs on Microsoft Windows (even with the Mozilla Firefox browser) and some Linux distributions. The message occurs because the Ohio LinuxFest's SSL certificate is signed by CACert.org, the community oriented certificate authority. Unfortunately, the CACert.org root certificate is not included in many browsers yet.
Please import the CACert root certificate into your browser to avoid this security alert.
