Call For Papers Extended!

The call for papers will now close on August 18, 2008. See http://www.ohiolinux.org/cfp.html to submit an application to speak at the Ohio LinuxFest.
Organizers of the 6th Annual Ohio LinuxFest are seeking presenters to share their expertise with an estimated 1,000 members of the Free and Open Source Software Community, a diverse group of end users, developers, administrators, companies and individuals associated or with interest in Free and Open Source Software. The Linux operating system is one of the world's most successful examples of Free and Open source software. It is passionately supported by a community that extends across the globe – a community that turns up in droves for Ohio Linux Fest, the largest event of its kind in the Midwest.
Ohio LinuxFest 2008 will be held on Saturday October 11 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, in downtown Columbus. The audience will consist of a wide range of Linux community members, including devoted end users, independent developers, small systems integrators, as well as IT architects and engineers. Organizers are seeking approximately 20 speakers to address community-related technology and/or topics of interest. Each presenter will be allowed 45 minutes. Organizers will provide A/V equipment.
Previous speakers included Jon "maddog" Hall, Richard Bowen, Apache; Chris Dibona, Google.

Speaking proposals will be taken till Midnight Monday August 18!
We've had a great response this year, and the proposals are really flowing in. Even so, we want to make sure you procrastinators and the "over scheduled" have a chance to join in the fun so we're moving the deadline back to Monday August 18 right around Midnight. But that's it folks, so write up that cool project you've been working on and let the rest of us see the great things you've been doing!
